In our Vtuvia rider group, we recently collected a story that really resonated with many riders—especially those with shorter inseams. Dave shared his and his wife CJ’s experience, sparking conversations among others facing the same challenge. The Search: A Challenge for Shorter Riders
For Dave and CJ, e-biking has been part of their lives for three years. They originally rode Heybike Ranger folding e-bikes, but CJ, who is 5’3” with a shorter inseam, never felt fully comfortable. “She could never reach the ground properly,” Dave recalls. They searched high and low for an adult folding e-bike that would fit her needs, but nothing seemed right. Many bikes were too tall, too bulky, or just not designed for someone of her size. The frustration grew—until an unexpected discovery changed everything.

One day, they found a Vtuvia dealer in a remote area of Middle Tennessee. With cautious optimism, they drove an hour to visit. The dealer introduced them to the Vtuvia SX20, and the moment CJ sat on it, everything clicked. “She could comfortably reach the ground with her feet and felt completely at ease on the saddle,” Dave says. For the first time in years, CJ felt like the bike was made for her. They both fell in love instantly.
To make the bike truly hers, they added a few accessories: red quick-release pedals that match the bike, a wicker basket, a bell ringer, and hand grips compatible with mirrors. Every detail was designed for comfort and style.

CJ’s maiden voyage on the Antelope was a revelation. “Watching her ride for the first time and knowing she can finally touch the ground—it was priceless,” Dave shares.
